Spotify lossless audio lands for Premium: free upgrade rolls out in 50+ markets

Spotify is rolling out lossless audio to all Premium subscribers at no extra cost, starting September 10, 2025, and expanding to 50+ markets through October. The new FLAC option streams up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz and covers nearly all of Spotify’s 100 million tracks. Users must enable it in settings on each device. It works on mobile, desktop, tablets, and many Spotify Connect devices, with Sonos and Amazon support coming next month.
